A life built on the water
Owned and operated by Cory Armstrong, a pioneer of aluminum catamarans in North America, ACI Boats was founded in 2015 in Port Townsend, Washington and is recognized as a leading aluminum boat builder in the Pacific Northwest specializing in aluminum catamarans.
Cory grew up on the remote islands off British Columbia, living off grid and traveling to school by wooden paddle boat. He began working in metal shops and learning to weld at a young age, developing an early foundation in aluminum fabrication and boat construction.
As a teenager, Cory and his brother built their first aluminum skiff to provide faster transportation between the islands—marking the start of a lifelong career dedicated to designing and building durable, high-performance aluminum boats.
Cory’s professional experience includes founding Armstrong Marine and working with Moose Boats, a respected aluminum boat builder in Vallejo, California.
